Zak Drapeau's Top 10 IOL 2025 NFL Draft

The Interior Lineman class this year is one of the strongest we've seen in a long time because of the College Tackles that project to Guards in the NFL like Will Campbell and Wyatt Milum to name a few. The sad truth is that most NFL coaches and scouts will eliminate players from being Tackles if their arm length is 33.5" or less.

I'll be the first person to say Campbell, Milum and even Donovan Jackson should get pro reps at Tackle to test their potential. However, some of them DO project better as a guard because of their style and size and because of that I've kept them inside for this list.

With 8 members inside of MY Top-100 Prospects, the IOL class this year and the OT class has the potential to set the tone for Offensive Lines for years to come. Most of these players have a floor of a career backup and several have an All-Pro potential. One of the weaker points is the Center class, (I have Grey Zabel as a Guard not Center.) There are a couple C's with potential but they all have lower floors and thus are further down my board.

Let's Check them out.

1. Will Campbell

LSU 6'6" 319 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 8

Archetype: Versatile All-Around Lineman

The best Offensive Lineman in this class, Will Campbell's only flaw is his short arm length. In his 3 years starting at LSU in the SEC, Campbell gave up only 4 sacks in 1,594 pass blocking snaps or 0.25% of the time. Campbell will draw immediate comparisons to Peter Skoronski who had similar length limitations just two years ago but Campbell is just different. An insane run blocker and an elite pass blocker with experience, Campbell, (like Membou) tested under a 5.00-40 and was outstanding in drills. Campbell may project best on the interior but it would be foolish not to see his potential play out at RT in the NFL.

Pro Comp: Bernhard Raimann

Draft Projection: Top 20 Picks

2. Tyler Booker

Alabama 6'5" 321 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 23

Archetype: Powerful All-Around Guard

Booker's Combine raised some eyebrows in a bad way about his athleticism but that shouldn't drop him out of the first round. A 2-and-a-half year starter at Alabama, Booker will be able to seamlessly transition into the NFL and even if he only benched 21 reps at the combine, has tremendous play strength. Booker's length will be his best quality with real Tackle-like arms at 34.5" and huge powerful hands. His agility will limit his potential as a pulling guard and a guard that can make a difference at the second level but Booker's floor is a long time starter and for that should and will be taken in Round 1.

Pro Comp: O'Cyrus Torrence

Draft Projection: Round 1

3. Gray Zabel

North Dakota St. 6'6" 312 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 33

Archetype: All-Around Pass Blocking Guard or Center

The best player at the Senior Bowl, Zabel was already a Top-50 player but he made his case for a First Rounder by winning almost every rep against the best competition at the Senior Bowl while taking the most reps of everyone as well. Coming from the O-Line factory at North Dakota State, Zabel played every snap at LT this year but will definitely move inside due to this short arm length and transition to NFL competition. Zabel has the ability to play all 5 positions at the NFL level but actually projects best as Center. He may have some growing pains right away in the NFL but he has legit potential to be a Pro Bowler in the league.

Pro Comp: Ethan Pocic

Draft Projection: Late 1st to Early 2nd

4. Donovan Jackson

Ohio State 6'4" 315 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 39

Archetype: Agile All-Around Guard

Another versatile lineman, Jackson played most snaps at LT last year at Ohio State but also played LG where he projects better to in the NFL. A 3-year starter, Jackson is an all-around Guard at the NFL level with some versatility if teams need a Tackle in a pinch. Jackson's average athleticism limits his potential but his floor is a tough and consistent pass blocking guard who's able to start on Day 1.

Pro Comp: Wyatt Teller

Draft Projection: Round 2

5. Wyatt Milum

West Virginia 6'6" 313 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 70

Archetype: Powerful All-Around Guard

Milum had 2 great seasons at West Virginia as a Tackle but projects better as a Guard in the NFL due to some inconsistencies as a pass blocker. Like the others, he will have the option of kicking outside when needed and Milum may be as well suited to do so as anyone. Milum's weakness is his agility, standing alone as a pass blocker will never be easy for him in the pros but a move inside could eliminate that flaw. His run blocking is so good that he will be able to move defenders at any position and he has enough play strength that being a guard would be a seamless transition.

Pro Comp: Braden Smith

Draft Projection: Round 2-3

6. Tate Ratledge

Georgia 6'6" 308

Big Board Rank: 82

Archetype: Athletic Pass-Blocking Guard

Ratledge's size and athleticism is very unique and allowed him to be a 3-year starter and captain on the Georgia line. Ratledge is well-rounded in run blocking and pass blocking but his average driving strength will likely weaken his zone blocking at the next level. Still, Ratledge's footwork in pass blocking is elite and will make him an average starter from Day 1. Tate will need to build strength and work on running techniques to become better than average which is very doable with NFL coaching.

Pro Comp: Andrew Vorhees

Draft Projection: Round 3-4

7. Marcus Mbow

Purdue 6'4" 303 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 83

Archetype: Agile Run Blocking Guard

Mbow is a very interesting prospect who like Milum, played Tackle in college but will be a Guard in the NFL. For Mbow though, it's his size that prohibits him at barely 300 pounds with 32" arms. Mbow is another solid run blocker with incredible footwork but will likely need to build mass and strength to start as a Guard somewhere down the line. With 3 years of starting experience, Mbow will be able to have a future in the league but it will likely take patience to get him there as well as coaching in pass pro.

Pro Comp: Brady Christensen

Draft Projection: Round 2-3

8. Jared Wilson

Georgia 6'3" 310 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 89

Archetype: Athletic Pass Blocking Center

Wilson's 1 year as the Georgia starting Center was great and then he hit the Combine and blew other linemen out the water. Wilson had a positional best in Arm Length, Hand Size Vert Jump, Broad Jump, 40-Yard Dash and 10-Yard Split at 310 pounds. Wilson's season at Georgia showcased great pass blocking ability and Wilson may even be a starter at some point in his rookie season. I have him lower on the rankings only because of the depth at the position and because he has less than 1,000 snaps played. His small sample size could either indicate him having unreal potential if he continues his growth or some growing pains as he gets to the NFL.

Pro Comp: J.C. Tretter

Draft Projection: Round 3

9. Willie Lampkin

North Carolina 5'11" 290 lbs.

Big Board Rank: 117

Archetype: Agile Run Blocking Center

Lampkin's frame may stop him from ever getting on the field in the NFL level which is a shame because as a 5-year starter at the college level, Lampkin was sensational. A Guard at UNC, Lampkin's pass and run blocking were almost elite and he even showed off at the Senior Bowl against great competition. At 5'10-5/8 he would become the shortest lineman in NFL history if he ever makes a start and when you're lining up against huge nose tackles, that should and will be a factor. Still, his talent and experience shows unreal potential and he will get a shot eventually.

Pro Comp: Aaron Brewer

Draft Projection: Day 3

10. Jonah Monheim

USC 6'4" 302 lbs.

Archetype: Agile All-Around Center

Monheim has the ability to be the best Center in the class in a few years if he tacks on some more strength. His experience at the college level has been the opposite of a lot of linemen where he switched from Tackle to Center this season. His length will prohibit him from ever being an edge in the NFL but makes him just the right size for an NFL center with incredible footwork. If he gets a couple of years to hit the weights he could end up being a solid starter in the league someday.

Pro Comp: Tanor Bortolini

Draft Projection: Day 3
