Zak Drapeau's NFL Mock Draft 4.0 Post-Combine

Writer: Zak DrapeauZak Drapeau

After a lot of views on My first 3 Mock Drafts I present my 4.0; after the NFL Combine and before Free Agency starts. To check out my Top-75 Big Board and Top-10 Positional Rankings, click here.

This is a screenshot of the total draft. I will be putting out more content on my Prospects Big Board, More Mock Draft content (with and without trades) and Free Agency discussions on Fansonlysportz.com and my Twitter Page (@Drapeau_Zak).

Here we go again...

1. Cameron Ward QB

New York Giants (TRADE)

The only trade of this Mock Draft is the Giants trading up to draft Cam Ward our of Miami.

Lots of reports have come out about this trade and it makes sense. With another report of the Giants signing Aaron Rodgers would give Ward the perfect role model for a year and could be a best case scenario for the team.

2. Shedeur Sanders QB

Cleveland Browns

Sanders has taken a big drop on boards lately and I don't know why. Sanders is an accurate, game-manager with good experience and is undoubtedly a tough kid. While he's not ready to start right away either he would instantly be the QB1 in Cleveland.

3. Abdul Carter Edge

Tennessee Titans (TRADE)

The Titans trade down and get the guy they wanted anyway. Carter missed the combine due to a non-serious foot injury but will still wreck opposing offensive tackles with a scary blend of power and finesse.

4. Travis Hunter CB

New England Patriots

Hunter has the ability to be sensational on both sides of the ball and New England could be the best possible destination for him to do so. Starting off as more of a corner, Hunter's athleticism will make him an instant starter alongside Christian Gonzalez and legitimize this secondary.

5. Mason Graham DI

Jacksonville Jaguars

Graham's game-wrecking ability and all-around talent makes him one of the best prospects in this draft. A fall to #5 could even be considered as a steal for the Jaguars.

6. Ashton Jeanty RB

Las Vegas Raiders

With both legitimate QBs off the board, Jeanty may not be the best possible draftee for a team in need of a lot of positions. Running back is definitely a need however for the team and Jeanty is the best RB prospect we've seen in almost 8 years. Along with Brock Bowers, this team's young core of weapons will be scary for a long time.

7. Armand Membou OT

New York Jets

A team in need of a total rebuild and a new Head Coach from Motor City, the Jets will look to build from the trenches and around the run game. Armand Membou has rocketed up boards after having an outstanding Combine and will fill out a VERY promising O-line.

8. Tetairoa McMillan WR

Carolina Panthers

McMillan may be slipping down boards but a marriage in Carolina seems perfect. Head Coach Dave Canales' years in Tampa with Mike Evans could prove to be the perfect prelude for T-Mac and a possible new best friend for Bryce Young.

9. Kelvin Banks Jr. OT

New Orleans Saints

Kelvin Banks is my OT1 after Will Campbell's arm length; a well-rounded, mauler of a Tackle with big-time experience. Under new HC Kellen Moore, the Saints will prioritize O-line and running the ball and Banks Jr. would be the PERFECT start to that strategy.

10. Will Campbell OG

Chicago Bears

This marriage makes too much sense if Campbell drops to 10. A team in need of linemen to protect Caleb Williams, drafting a versatile lineman who ranks #1 in pure O-line talent on my board.

11. Jalon Walker LB

San Francisco 49ers

At worst, Walker is a pro-bowl level off-ball linebacker to replace Dre Greenlaw. At best, he is a freak pass rush specialist alongside Nick Bosa with better than average coverage skills to boot. If the 49ers sign Brock Purdy to a big deal they'll need cheap youth to rebuild the defense and Walker could be perfect for that.

12. Walter Nolen DI

Dallas Cowboys

Nolen feels like a Cowboy already. A nasty, athletic lineman with possible "possible character concerns." Filling out the team's biggest need and adding a fellow pass rusher to pair with Micah Parsons could be a great way to rebuild this defense.

13. Malaki Starks SAF

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have a bunch of secondary leaving to Free Agency and only have Jalen Ramsey to build around. Malaki Starks will make his bread and butter at Safety but can also play a really good nickel.

14. Will Johnson CB

Indianapolis Colts

Best Case Scenario for the Colts. Will Johnson's arm length was less than anticipated and is falling down boards because of it. A blue-chip level prospect, Johnson will instantly be CB1 in Indianapolis and is better for the team than a TE to help Anthony Richardson.

15. Mike Green Edge

Atlanta Falcons

No mixed words here. Falcons desperately need edge help and Mike Green is a Top-10 Edge talent. Falling here at #15 would have the Falcons' staff running to the podium.

16. Jihaad Campbell LB

Arizona Cardinals

Campbell is another HUGE combine riser after a ridiculous showing at the 40 and in drills. A former edge rusher turned off-ball linebacker, Campbell's ability to cover, stop the run and rush the passer is too valuable for the Cardinals to pass up.

17. Shemar Stewart DI

Cincinnati Bengals

The best measurables of any D-lineman in one of the BEST D-lineman class, Stewart has some of the best traits you'll find in this draft class. The Bengals need help in every position on defense and adding Stewart could really help alleviate some of that burden.

18. Luther Burden III WR

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks will likely let Tyler Lockett go and could use another pass catcher to help Geno Smith, (or whoever replaces him at QB this year) I almost went with Tyler Warren but the Seahawks have shown no interest in drafting the front line at all recently.

19. Mykel Williams Edge

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Williams is another "draft for traits" type player with freak upside. A physical freak with almost 35" arms with a deadly edge against the run, Williams needs to improve his pass rush. If he does under Todd Bowles, he could end up being a Top-10 talent in this draft.

20. Jahdae Barron CB

Denver Broncos

Ok so hear me out, maybe my favorite pick in this draft. Drafting a WR, RB or TE has been all the rage to the Broncos but if you look at Sean Payton's draft history seems unlikely. Jahdae Barron might be a Top-15 talent in this draft and would complete an already very good secondary and make an already great defense, that much scarier.

21. Emeka Egbuka WR

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers will very likely take a WR here, if not Egbuka this could be Matthew Golden but I think Egbuka's experience and route running will impress Mike Tomlin a bit more.

22. Tyler Warren TE

Los Angeles Chargers

The slip of Tyler Warren finally stops and Jim Harbaugh is laughing. Warren's run with the ball ability at 6'5" and 255 pounds is Gronk-esque and is a nasty run blocker to boot. Justin Herbert needs more pass catch options and Tyler Warren is a dream scenario for him.

23. Maxwell Hairston CB

Green Bay Packers

Another riser from the Combine and also a Senior Bowl standout, Hairston's man cover abilities paired with his Combine-best 4.28-40 could make him a serious CB at the pro level.

24. Tyler Booker OG

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings future all rides on J.J. McCarthy so adding some protection will be a good start. Booker didn't test well at the combine hence the drop to #24 but his taoe speaks for itself as a dominant interior Guard.

25. Josh Simmons OT

Houston Texans

The Texans need a lot of help on the O-line and Josh Simmons may be the best OT prospect in this draft if not for an ACL injury this year. Recent reports say he's ahead of schedule and pairing him with his former OSU QB C.J. Stroud would give the Texans some much needed protection.

26. Colston Loveland TE

Los Angeles Rams

Another slip down boards for a great TE, Colston Loveland may not be the "normal in-line TE" like Tyler Warren is but his pass catching and route running ability from the line and in the slot make him a dominant force in the pass game especially if paired with Matt Stafford.

27. Omarion Hampton RB

Baltimore Ravens

I would love this pick if it happens. Derrick Henry expires after this season and Omarion Hampton would be a perfect fit in the Ravens' system. Even in a backup and 3DRB role, Hampton's tough running and receiving upside would be terrific in Baltimore.

28. James Pearce Jr. Edge

Detroit Lions

James Pearce Jr. had a very odd combine. An outstanding workout may have been overshadowed by serious reports of character concerns at Tennessee. Pearce Jr. is an undoubtedly special athlete and if he can improve his attitude could pair with Aidan Hutchinson to be a dominant pass rush.

29. Matthew Golden WR

Washington Commanders

Deebo Samuel may have been traded to Washington but that shouldn't stop the Commanders from building more around Jayden Daniels. A possible O-lineman makes sense but none are available that have as much of a chance to change this offense as Golden does.

30. Nick Emmanwori SAF

Buffalo Bills

The #1 riser from the combine, it's not a stretch to say Safety Nick Emmanwori is the best-tested athlete the combine has ever seen. In need of improvement of his coverage skills, Sean McDermott has cranked out some of the best Safeties in his tenure at Buffalo and none of them came even close to being as good of an athlete as Emmanwori is.

31. Donovan Jackson OG

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs need either OL or WR and after mocking them Jayden Higgins twice already, I like Donovan Jackson equally here. Able to play OT in a pinch, Jackson could be another alpha on this O-line along Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey and make this IOL legitimately the best in the league.

32. Derrick Harmon DI

Philadelphia Eagles

Finishing off the 1st round, the Eagles find their Milton Williams replacement in Derrick Harmon. Another stud D-lineman in Philly who can compete in pass rushing with the Georgia boys already there, but more than them can really attack the run game.
