ROUND 1 (Pick 11)
Jihaad Campbell - LB
Campbell would be a great way for the 49ers to start rebuilding their defense. After the loss of Dre Greenlaw, the 49ers are missing a SAM LB and Campbell is the best in the class. Add Campbell's ability to creep up to the Edge and ability to play in the 49ers 4-3 and this marriage is San Fran's best case scenario.

Will Johnson - CB
Someone that will somehow probably still be on the board is Will Johnson. The best pure CB in the class, Johnson may drop to 11 and if Campbell is gone would be the next best way for the 49ers to rebuild the defense. With Lenoir inside at the Nickel, Johnson would automatically be the best boundary CB on the team.

ROUND 2 (Pick 43)

Grey Zabel - OG
Another instant starter, Zabel's versatility and IQ would be coveted by Kyle Shanahan and would pair with Dominick Puni beautifully at Guard. Zabel is the kind of lineman that could become Captain of this unit once Trent Williams retires in a year or two.
Demetrious Knight II - LB
If Campbell doesn't land here, Demetrious Knight would be a great WILL LB to compliment Fred Warner. A natural standup LB with great pass coverage potential, Knight is the closest example in this class to Dre Greenlaw's play style. A bit on the slender side, Knight will need to gain some mass to be as good downhill but will still carve out a big role as soon as he's drafted.

ROUND 3 (Picks 75 and 100)
Ozzy Trapilo - OT
A big hulking Tackle, Trapilo would be a stashed RT that could learn a lot from Trent Williams. Made in Williams mold, Trapilo is a very strong, run-blocking Tackle with zone blocking capabilities that needs to improve his footwork. His transition from Boston College to the league will take some time but has the potential to be a plus starter for the 49ers in the near future.

Jaydon Blue - RB
A huge potential RB with very few mileage on him, Jaydon Blue is a home-run hitting speedy Running Back with enough mass to run between or outside the Tackles. With sub-4.4 speed, Blue will be best used on outside zones or as a receiving back where he racked up the most receiving yards for a RB in the nation last season.
Chris Paul Jr. - LB
Yet another LB, Paul Jr. is a prototype NFL Linebacker with speed, coverage and tackling but will need to bulk up a lot or transition to a more coverage-based role. At 222 pounds, Paul has the tenacity and mindset to be a downhill LB but may not have the ability. Definitely worth a 3rd rounder and a red shirt season to add muscle.
Dorian Strong - CB
A big and strong Cornerback with good zone coverage is how the 49ers have liked their CBs over the last 5-10 years. Strong is a "strong" candidate to be a 3rd-4th round sleeper in this draft and may have his best chance at success in San Francisco.

ROUND 4 (Picks 113 and 138)

Ashton Gillotte - Edge
An upside-potential pass rusher, Gillotte has tools and athleticism that makes him very appealing to certain 4-3 defenses like the 49ers. Gillotte has good strength and does very good with his hands but struggles with counter moves once Tackles get their hands on him. The 49ers could easily keep him stashed for a year or two until he becomes pro ready and watch him wreck havoc.
Billy Bowman Jr. - Safety
Another flyer in the 4th, Billy Bowman could be a good rotational Safety the 49ers will need after the loss of Talanoa Hufanga. Bowman has a knack for ball-hawking but has a limit to how he can perform in the box. Bowman's skill set is one the 49ers are missing and could have him getting a lot of snaps early.
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins - DT
A D-Tackle, D-End hybrid, Ingram-Dawkins is big, long and fast with a lot of raw potential having only played 1 year on Georgia's D-line. At 6'5 and 280 pounds, TID could become (like Gillotte) an upside-potential D-End across from Bosa with starting potential in a year or two.
