Quarterbacks
Jordan Love vs. CHI
Coming off a bye week in Week 10, Jordan Love has a great opportunity to shine against the Bears. Love, in the games he has played this season, has been quite solid, scoring 15+ points in all but two games (fantasy.nfl.com). He has also been pretty matchup-proof this season, throwing for 389 yards against the Vikings and 273 against the Lions. Love faces the Bears this week, who have allowed 211.3 yards per game over their last three contests. Although Chicago's defense has been good this year, they have been struggling lately, which Love will capitalize on.
Tua Tagovailoa vs. LV
Last week, Tua Tagovailoa threw for 207 yards and a touchdown, but also threw an interception and lost a fumble. Since coming back from injury, Tagovailoa has not been great, but has a great chance to turn the tides against the Raiders. Though Vegas' defense has been solid, they have allowed over 200 yards per game in their last three contests. If the Dolphins are to turn it around this season, this week is the perfect time. With talent all over the offense, and the Raiders giving up the 10th most fantasy points per game to QBs, Tagovailoa is poised to return Miami to the high-powered offense fans are accustomed to seeing.
Running Backs
Nick Chubb vs. NO
Coming off a bye, Nick Chubb should be rested and ready to go against the Saints. Last time out, Chubb could not get anything going against a tough Chargers defense, rushing for 39 yards on 15 carries. Coming off a brutal injury he suffered last year, Chubb's volume has been promising, carrying the ball 11 times in Week 7, 16 in Week 8, and 15 in Week 9. All three matchups Chubb has faced have been among the best rush defenses in the league (Cincinnati, Baltimore, and the Chargers). This week is the first favorable matchup Chubb has had since returning. He faces a Saints team that ranks 6th in most rushing yards allowed per game (141) and 3rd most in rushing touchdowns per game (1.4). Based on his volume already within the Browns' offense, Chubb could be in line for his first breakout game of the season.
Rhamondre Stevenson vs. LAR
Rhamondre Stevenson had a solid performance against the Bears in Week 10, carrying the ball 20 times for 74 yards. Stevenson has been great in the Patriots' offense led by QB Drake Maye, as he has scored four times in three games. The Patriots have made it a point to prioritize the run game, especially in the red zone, and it should be no different against the Rams this week. LA ranks in the bottom half in most rushing yards allowed per game (127.6). Stevenson's red zone usage, as well as his importance in the Patriots' offense, should reign supreme against the Rams' below-average run defense.
Wide Receivers
George Pickens vs. BAL
George Pickens has been fantastic since QB Russell Wilson took over the Steelers' offense. Last week, he caught 5 of his 7 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. Pickens' volume has been solid all year, averaging 7.2 targets a game this season. He also has had under 50 receiving yards twice all season. Pickens has a fantastic opportunity to keep his good run of form going against an abysmal Ravens pass defense. Baltimore has allowed the most passing yards per game (294.9) and fantasy points a game to Wide Receivers 45.4 according to fantasy.nfl.com. Look for Pickens to produce yet another strong fantasy performance against a division rival at home.
Calvin Ridley vs. MIN
Calvin Ridley's hot streak continued last week, catching 5 of his 9 targets for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns. The past three weeks have treated Ridley quite nicely, averaging 6.7 receptions on 10.7 targets for 100 yards in that span. With DeAndre Hopkins' departure to Kansas City, the Titans' offense has finally centered around Ridley, which is an opportunity he has taken advantage of. This week, Ridley goes up against the Vikings, who rank 7th in most passing yards allowed per game (231.9) and 3rd most in fantasy points allowed to receivers per game (39.5 according to fantasy.nfl.com). Ridley's increased volume is a promising sign for fantasy managers, and deserves a start against a poor Vikings pass defense.
Tight Ends
Dalton Kincaid vs. KC
Kincaid got off to a good start last week; however, a knee injury knocked Dalton Kincaid out of Buffalo's Week 10 game against the Colts. Though Kincaid has not been the reliable receiver managers hoped he would be this year, his volume is still encouraging (targeted at least 5 times in 8 of 10 games this year). Kincaid, if he plays, will have his most favorable matchup of the season against the Chiefs. The Chiefs defense, who have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points per game to TEs (16.4 according to fantasy.nfl.com) and over 200 yards per game to opponents, give Kincaid a great opportunity to produce a good result for his fantasy managers. If he plays, start him with confidence this week.
Jonnu Smith vs. LV
Jonnu Smith has been a surprising bright spot this year within a struggling Dolphins' offense. Last week, he co-led his team in receptions, catching 3 of his 4 targets for 45 yards. Though his numbers do not jump off the page, his volume is evident, as he is averaging 4.9 targets a game. This is an encouraging sign, as he is still surrounded by plenty of talent. For a position that has not been fantasy-reliant this year, Smith has been as dependable as any of the 2nd tier TEs have. Going against the Raiders, who rank 5th in most fantasy points allowed per game to TEs (15.2), Smith should be heavily involved within a Dolphins offense that desperately needs to produce.
Sit 'Em
Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes vs BUF
Another tough matchup for Mahomes sees him on our "Sit 'Ems" list for the third time this season. Mahomes is averaging less than 15 points a game this season with only 12 TDs to 9 INTs. His play has improved over the last two weeks but with the matchup of the season looming in Buffalo, Mahomes should be on EVERY Fantasy owner's bench this week.
After throwing at least one interception in his first 7 games of the season, Mahomes hasn't turned the ball over in his last two. However, in their last five games the Bills defense has been stellar, only giving up one decent game to Tua and the Dolphins in that time.
Kirk Cousins vs DEN
Kirk-o Chains has made stars out of the Falcons' playmakers this season but with his play weening after his worst game of the season last week and a matchup in Denver on the horizon, Cousins won't have it. The Broncos have had to face off against two of the league's best in Mahomes and Jackson over the last two weeks so Cousins shouldn't be a grave challenge for them.
In New Orleans last week, Cousins had his second game without a TD of the season. Scoring only 5.65 points, Cousins will now have to go to a notoriously tough stadium to win at in Mile-High against a better defense. No matter if London and Mooney continue their excellent run of form, Cousins won't be a factor and should be on your bench.
Running Backs
Bijan Robinson vs DEN
Speaking of the Falcons in Denver, Bijan should also be on your bench this week. After lighting the world on fire in the last 5 weeks, Robinson will run head first into a brick wall in Denver. After just describing the talented pass defense there, running the ball against the Broncos is even tougher, only giving up 100 yards to Derrick Henry this season.
With Robinson's stats over the last 5 weeks being great, it's unlikely any of you will bench him but I'm telling you that you should. The test of going into Mile High may be a task Robinson isn't up for being his first time at the stadium and one that should see him fall short of his recent success.
Tony Pollard vs MIN
Pollard has been a bright spot for the Titans as of late along with teammate Calvin Ridley. Being on one of the worst offenses in the league, it's been a very nice change of pace for Pollard to have his success but with a matchup in Minnesota up next, Pollard may start to skid. Minnesota has given up the 4th least points to RBs in Fantasy this season and is one of the best run defenses in the league period.
Adding on to Pollard's down slope will be Tyjae Spears getting more carries thanks to Pollard missing out on the second half of last game with a hamstring injury. Considered fully healthy now, Pollard will see his touches fall from 20-25 a game to likely 14-18 in Minnesota and in Fantasy shouldn't be used other than a weak FLEX start.
Wide Receivers
Zay Flowers vs PIT
Flowers was in one of the most electric and offensive-friendly games we've seen all season last week and only got 4 receptions for 34 yards. Flowers is a good player but is in an offense that is run balanced and spreads the ball very much for any receiver to get a Fantasy start. The best choice for WR1 in Baltimore, Flowers may be the most talented of the bunch but has become very TD-dependent over the last couple weeks. Facing off against Pittsburgh who has been smothering receivers all season, Flowers is likely to get a very similar role as last week's.
Jayden Reed vs CHI
Coming off of a BYE week, Reed should be ready to go versus Chicago but with one of the league's best CB's in Jaylon Johnson set to track him all game, it may be a long night for Reed. Having his first 100-yard performance in his last 4 games before the BYE, Reed has put together a very up and down year so far for Fantasy. Starting the year white-hot, Reed's production has slowed down in recent weeks with the team's receiving core becoming healthy.
With more mouths to feed, Reed is averaging only 5 targets in his last 5 games. Reed's breakout ability and potential to catch the long ball every week is worthy of keeping him in the FLEX spot, but against Chicago's 2nd ranked pass defense, it's better to just stay away from Reed for at least this week.
Tight Ends
Mark Andrews vs PIT
Andrews has turned his season around and been spectacular over the last several weeks like we all predicted he would before the season. So why does he land back on the Sit 'Ems List? Well a quick look into the Steelers' defense will show you they haven't given up a 10-point performance to a TE all season.
With Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry being the only Ravens you should feasibly be starting this week. Let Andrews sit on your bench one more week and let him return to his Pro Bowl-level for the rest of your season.
